Constipation, hepatic coma, hepatic encephalopathy & portal systemic encephalopathy. Suitable for elderly, infant, childn, nursing mothers, in pregnancy & diabetes.
Dosage/Direction for Use
ConstipationAdult 15 mL bd. Childn 5-10 yr 10 mL bd, 1-4 yr 5 mL bd, <1 yr 2.5 mL bd. If there are no effects during the 1st 3 days, the dosage can be doubled. Having reached an effect, the dosage can be halved. Hepatic encephalopathyAdult 30-50 mL tds. Dosage should be adjusted subsequently to produce 2-3 soft stools each day.
