Difflam Soln Benzydamine HCl 0.15%. Difflam-C Soln Benzydamine HCl 0.15%, chlorhexidine gluconate 0.12%. Difflam Forte Throat Spray Benzydamine 0.3%. Difflam Anti-Inflammatory Throat Spray for Children Benzydamine HCl 0.15%. Difflam Anti-Inflammatory Loz Benzydamine 3 mg. Difflam Anti-Inflammatory Antibacterial Loz Benzydamine HCl 3 mg, cetylpyridinium 1.33 mg. Difflam with Anaesthetic Sore Throat Loz Benzydamine HCl 3 mg, lignocaine HCl 4 mg, dichlorobenzyl alcohol 1.2 mg. Difflam Mouth Gel Benzydamine HCl 1%, cetylpyridinium Cl 0.1%
Indications/Uses
For relief of painful conditions of the mouth & throat including sore throat, radiation mucositis, aphthous ulcers, post-orosurgical & periodontal procedures, pharyngitis, swelling, redness & inflammatory conditions. Difflam Mouth Gel Temporary relief of painful inflamed conditions of the mouth, including mouth & denture ulcers & sore gums.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Difflam Soln/Difflam-C Soln Use as a 30-sec gargle or rinse, usually undiluted. Adult 15 mL every 1½-3 hr. Difflam Forte Throat Spray Adult Spray 2-4 times directly every 1.5-3 hr as necessary. Childn 6-12 yr Spray twice directly every 1.5-3 hr as necessary. Difflam Anti-Inflammatory Throat Spray for Children Adult & childn >12 yr Spray 4-8 times every 1.5-3 hr as required. Childn 6-12 yr Spray 4 times every 1.5-3 hr as required, 3-5 yr 1 spray per 4 kg body wt (max 4 sprays) every 1.5-3 hr as required. Difflam Anti-Inflammatory Loz/Difflam Anti-Inflammatory Antibacterial Loz 1 loz 1-2 hrly. Max: 12 loz/day. Difflam with Anaesthetic Sore Throat Loz Adult & childn >6 yr 1 loz every 2-3 hr as required. Max: 12 loz/day. Difflam Mouth Gel Apply 2-3 hrly. Max 12 times daily.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity.
Special Precautions
Patients w/ severe renal & hepatic impairment. Pregnancy. Difflam Anti-Inflammatory Loz/Difflam Anti-Inflammatory Antibacterial Loz/Difflam with Anaesthetic Sore Throat Loz Do not ingest hot food or drink directly after using the loz. Contains isomalt; may have a laxative effect or cause diarrhoea. Childn <6 yr. Difflam Soln/Difflam-C Soln Do not swallow soln. Childn <6 yr. Difflam Mouth Gel Childn <6 yr.
Adverse Reactions
Oral numbness, burning or stinging, dryness or thirst, tingling, warm feeling in mouth, altered sense of taste. Difflam-C Soln Staining of teeth & increase in calculus formation.
