Loratadine
Indications/Uses
Relief of nasal as well as non-nasal symptoms of seasonal allergic rhinitis, chronic urticaria & other allergic dermatological disorders.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult & childn ≥12 yr 1 tab. Childn 6-12 yr, >30 kg 1 tab; ≤30 kg ½ tab. All doses to be taken once daily.
Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Special Precautions
Liver or renal impairment, prostatic hypertrophy, urinary retention, glaucoma, epilepsy. Pregnancy & lactation. Childn <6 yr. Elderly.
Adverse Reactions
Gastritis, alopecia, anaphylaxis, abnormal hepatic function, tachycardia, palpitation, fatigue, headache, somnolence, dry mouth, nervousness, wheezing, abdominal pain, hyperkinesia, malaise, nausea, rash.
Drug Interactions
Ketoconazole, erythromycin, cimetidine.
