Fresubin 2 kcal Fibre Drink: 2 kcal/mL oral nutritional supplement for the dietary management in case or at risk of malnutrition, in particular with increased energy and protein needs or fluid restriction.
400 kcal and 20 g protein, which is the minimum effective dose to benefit nutritional parameters i.e. nutrient intake, increase bodyweight, and maintenance of muscle mass and function.
High vitamin D in combination with the high protein is especially recommended to optimise nutritional support for muscle and bone health.
With fibre to maintain gut physiology Fibre-free for patients who cannot tolerate fibre.
Food for special medical purposes.
For the dietary management in case/risk of malnutrition, esp. with increased energy and protein needs or fluid restriction. Nutritionally complete, high energy (2.0 kcal/mL), high protein oral nutritional supplement. With fibre (Fresubin 2 KCAL FIBRE Drink), high in vitamin D, clinically free from lactose, gluten free.
Fresubin Powder Fibre: Food for special medical purposes: Nutritionally complete oral nutritional supplement and tube feed powder to be reconstituted with water. With fibre, low in lactose, gluten free. For the dietary management of patients with or at risk of disease-related malnutrition in particular with moderate to increased energy needs.

Dosage: Fresubin 2 kcal Fibre Drink: 1-2 bottles/day for supplementary nutrition or 4-5 bottles/day for complete nutrition, or as advised by a healthcare professional.
Fresubin Powder Fibre: For supplementary and complete nutrition to be determined by a health care professional according to patients' needs. Recommendation for complete nutrition ≥1500 kcal/day. Standard preparation for optimal taste is 1.0 kcal/mL, optionally depending on patients' needs and preferences 1.5 kcal/mL preparation is possible.

To be used under medical supervision. Suitable as sole source of nutrition.
Not suitable for children <3 years. Use with caution in children <6 years.
Not suitable in case of galactosaemia.
Additional Considerations: Not suitable whenever enteral nutrition is not permitted such as in acute gastrointestinal bleeding, ileus and shock. Use with caution in severe organ failure with impaired metabolism and severe forms of malassimilation.
Not suitable for patients with congenital inability to metabolise nutrients contained in Fresubin 2 KCAL FIBRE Drink.
Fresubin Powder Fibre: Ensure adequate fluid intake.
Not for parenteral (I.V.) use.

Shake well before use.
Fresubin 2 kcal Fibre Drink: Sweet varieties: Best served chilled.
Savoury varieties: Warm up in pan at low heat or fill in bowl and microwave at 600 W for 90 sec - do not boil. Do not microwave the bottle. After heating stir well and use immediately.
Fresubin Powder Fibre: Instruction for use: Store dry and at room temperature. After using replace lid tightly. Once opened store dry and use within 3 weeks. For sip feeding: Once reconstituted use within 6 hours at room temperature or within 12 hours if refrigerated and stir again before use. If used for tube feeding, monitor feeding rate.
Do not mix with drugs.
Preparation: Use a clean container and fresh potable water. Handle with caution to avoid contamination during preparation and administration.
For 1.0 kcal/mL preparation: Per serving=200 mL (app. 200 kcal).
1) Pour 160 mL water into a container: for sip feeding: preferably cool water; for tube feeding: room temperature water.
2) Add 3 level scoops (enclosed) of powder (46 g).
3) Stir well with a wire whisk/spoon until dissolved completely.
4) Only for tube feeding: Let the product rest for 5 minutes and stir again slowly in order to avoid the creation of foam until dissolved completely.
Use promptly upon preparation.
For 1.5 kcal/mL preparation: Per serving=200 mL (app. 300 kcal).
Pour 140 mL water and add 4.5 level scoops (enclosed) of powder (69 g) - proceed like described previously.
Packaged in a protective atmosphere. Product filled by weight.
Filling volume may vary.

Once opened, refrigerate and use within 24 hours.
Fresubin 2 kcal Fibre Drink: At room temperature.
Fresubin Powder Fibre: Store at room temperatures between 15-25°C.
