Each capsule contains sodium ascorbate 562.5 mg (equivalent to 500 mg ascorbic acid).
This product contains Sodium Ascorbate (equivalent to Ascorbic Acid 500 mg) 562.5 mg a water-soluble vitamin, essential for the synthesis of collagen and intercellular material.
For the treatment and prevention of ascorbic acid deficiency and scurvy.
Adults: Orally, 1 capsule daily or as prescribed by a physician.
Missed dose: Take the next dose. Do not take double dose to make up the missed dose.
Ascorbic acid is usually well tolerated. There is no information regarding overdosage.
If patient has taken more than the recommended dose, consult a doctor.
If patient is allergic (hypersensitive) to any component of the product.
Large doses may lead to diarrhea, other gastrointestinal disturbances, hyperoxaluria, formation of renal calcium oxalate calculi and haemolysis in patients with G6PD deficiency.
Patient should seek medical attention immediately at the first sign of any adverse drug reaction.
It should not be given for the first month after starting desferrioxamine treatment.
Store at temperatures not exceeding 30°C. Protect from light.
