Contents
Butanediol diglycidyl ether-crosslinked Na hyaluronate gel
Indications/Uses
Pain in OA of knee in patients who have failed non-pharmacologic treatment & simple analgesics or NSAIDs.
Dosage/Direction for Use
IA Recommended dose: 3 mL for knee joint. Inj only once per treatment course.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Infection or severe inflammation at joint cavity. Disease or infection of skin near the inj site. Liver disease or prior history of liver disease.
Special Precautions
Avoid intravascular, extra-articular inj or inj in the synovial tissues. Administer after removal of severely inflamed joints caused by deformative OA. Avoid strenuous exercise or action leading to joint pain of knee up to 48 hr after administration. Accurately inj into articular cavity. Remove articular fluid by puncturing prior to administration. Concomitant use w/ 4th grade ammon salt eg, benzalkonium Cl & chlorhexidine. Inj site should be sterilized prior to administration. Pregnancy & lactation.
Adverse Reactions
Pain, redness, swelling, warmth. Nasopharyngitis, URTI, pain in extremity, cystitis, dyspepsia, paresthesia, redness, joint swelling, musculoskeletal pain, plantar fasciitis.
