Roxithromycin

Indications/Uses

Resp tract, ear, throat, skin, soft tissue & urogenital tract infections. Prophylaxis for meningococcal meningitis.

Dosage/Direction for Use

Rothricin tab 1 tab of Rothricin 150 mg bid or 1 tab of Rothricin 300 mg once a day. Rothricin Pediatric tab 100 mg bid.

Administration

Should be taken on an empty stomach: Take before meals.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity; combination w/ ergotamine & its derivatives.

Special Precautions

Pregnancy, lactation; hepatic insufficiency.

Adverse Reactions

GI upsets; allergic reactions.

Potentiates effects of carbamazepine, theophylline, cyclosporin, warfarin & ergot alkaloids.
