Thainocort (IA/ID): Each ml contains Triamcinolone Acetonide 10 mg.
Thainocort (IM): Each ml contains Triamcinolone Acetonide 40 mg.
THAINOCORT (IA/ID)/THAINOCORT (I.M.) is a sterile, white suspension for injection providing Triamcinolone Acetonide which is a synthetic corticosteroid with anti-inflammatory action.
Inflammation of joints, bursae & tendon sheaths, keloids, lupus erythematosus.
Adults: Intra-articular, intrabursal, or tendon-sheath injection, 2.5 mg to 15 mg.
For smaller joints: 2.5 mg to 5 mg.
For large joints: 5-15 mg.
Intradermal or intralesional, up to 1 mg per injection site, separated at one-week or less frequent intervals, if necessary.
Intramuscular, 40 to 80 mg, repeated at four-week interval, if necessary.
Children up to 6 years of age: Use is not recommended.
Children 6 to 12 years of age: Intra-articular, intrabursal, or tendon-sheath injection, 2.5 mg to 15 mg repeat as needed.
Intramuscular, 40 mg repeated at four-week intervals if necessary; or 30 to 200 mcg per kg of body weight or 1 to 6.25 mg per square meter of body surface, repeated at one to seven day intervals.
Systemic fungal infection; unstable or infected joints; lactation.
Shake well before use and should not be administered intravenously.
Intercurrent infection; immunization (defer); hypothyroidism; cirrhosis (enhance effect); active or latent TB; ocular herpes simplex; GI disorder susceptible to hemorrhage; renal insufficiency; hypertension; cardiac failure; diabetes; thromboembolic disorder; glaucoma; myasthenia gravis; pregnancy.
Store at room temperature not to exceed 30°C.
Avoid freezing, protect from light.
