Tramadol HCl
Indications/Uses
Relieves moderate to severe acute & chronic pain.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult & adolescent >14 yr Cap As a single dose. Another cap can be taken 30-60 min later if pain is not relieved. Inj 1-2 mL by IM or IV infusion. Max: 400 mg/day.
Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Contraindications
Acute intoxication w/ alcohol, hypnotics, analgesics or other CNS-acting drugs.
Special Precautions
Patients w/ increased reactivity to opioids & those w/ convulsions. Pregnancy & lactation.
Adverse Reactions
Sweating, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, dry mouth, fatigue.
Drug Interactions
May enhance sedative effects of CNS drugs. Avoid concurrent administration w/ MAOIs.
