Carbocisteine.

Description

Each tablet contains: Carbocisteine 375 mg.

Indications/Uses

Used for its mucolytic activity in respiratory disorder associated with productive cough.

Dosage/Direction for Use

Adults: 2 tab 3 times daily. Or, 2 tab twice daily when a response is obtained.

Special Precautions

Should be used with caution in patients with history of peptic ulcer disease. Mucolytics may disrupt the gastric mucosal barrier.

Adverse Reactions

Nausea, gastric discomfort and gastrointestinal bleeding have occasionally occurred. Skin rashes have also been reported.
