Tretinoin
Indications/Uses
Dosage/Direction for Use
Apply a thin layer on the lesions once daily in the evening after washing. Continue treatment for at least 3 mth.
Contraindications
Special Precautions
Avoid contact w/ eyes, eyelids, nostrils, or mouth. In case of prior treatment w/ other topical exfoliating products, wait until skin irritation disappears before beginning treatment. Avoid exposure to sun & UV lamps. In case of longer sun exposure, do not apply the cream the day before, on the day itself, or the next day. Wait until the sunburn has fully settled before using the cream. Avoid using astringent, drying or irritant cosmetic cleansers, perfumed products, or alcohol-containing products. Use aq base makeup products only. Use moisturising products that do not contain oily components. Contains butylated hydroxyanisole, butylated hydroxytoluene, methyl and propyl parahydroxybenzoates. Not recommended during pregnancy.
Adverse Reactions
Appearance of small white-headed pustules (1st few wk of treatment). Local irritations eg, diffused redness, tingling, dryness of the skin, mild flaking (peeling skin).
