Description

Betahistine mesylate is 2-[2-(methylamino)ethyl] pyridine dimethanesulfonate. Molecular Formula: C₁₀H₂₀N₂O₆S₂. Molecular Weight: 328.4.
Betahistine mesylate occurs as an odorless, hygroscopic white crystal or crystalline powder with a slightly bitter taste. It is very soluble in water and methanol, soluble in ethanol and practically insoluble in acetone, ether and chloroform.
