Indications/Uses
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult & childn >16 yr 0.5-1 mg once daily.
Administration
Should be taken on an empty stomach: Take at least 2 hr before or after a meal.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Not recommended for childn <16 yr.
Special Precautions
Lactic acidosis & severe hepatomegaly w/ steatosis. HIV infection. Liver transplant; kidney problems; diabetes. Lactose intolerant. Pregnancy & lactation.
Adverse Reactions
Headache, tiredness, dizziness, & nausea.
Drug Interactions
May interact w/ medicines metabolized through the kidneys.
