Dosage/Direction for Use

Oral
Inflammation and oedema
Adult: In cases related to certain conditions such as trauma, infection, respiratory tract congestion, and chronic venous insufficiency: 5-10 mg (10,000-20,000 units) tid.
Administration
Should be taken with food. Take after meals.
Adverse Reactions
Gastrointestinal disorders: Gastric discomfort, nausea. Metabolism and nutrition disorders: Anorexia.
Drug Interactions
May enhance the effect of anticoagulants.
Action
Serrapeptase is a proteolytic enzyme of Serratia spp source. Experimental evidence to support the mechanism involved in its anti-inflammatory activity has not been published, however, it has been attributed to the hydrolysis of inflammatory mediators such as bradykinin, histamine, and serotonin. Synonym: serratiopeptidase.

Oral: Store below 25°C.
