Laboratory Tests and Ancillaries 

Though not routinely recommended, the following tests may be done when evaluating for an important medical comorbidity: Complete blood count (CBC), blood glucose and glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c), liver function tests, renal function tests, serum iron studies, and thyroid function tests.
