Levocetirizine diHCl
Indications/Uses
Symptoms associated w/ allergic conditions eg, seasonal allergic rhinitis (including ocular symptoms), perennial allergic rhinitis, chronic idiopathic urticaria.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult & childn >6 yr 5 mg once daily.
Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Severe renal impairment (CrCl <10 mL/min).
Special Precautions
Patients w/ hereditary problems of galactose intolerance, Lapp-lactase deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption. May affect ability to drive or operate machinery. Pregnancy & lactation. Childn <6 yr.
Adverse Reactions
Headache, somnolence, dry mouth, fatigue.
Drug Interactions
Alcohol, theophylline & other CNS depressants.
