Amlodipine besylate
Indications/Uses
HTN; myocardial ischemia due to stable angina, or Prinzmetal's or variant angina.
Dosage/Direction for Use
HTN 5 mg once daily. Max: 10 mg. Patient w/ liver dysfunction, elderly & infants Initially 2.5 mg once daily. Chronic stable or vasospastic (Prinzmetal's) angina 5-10 mg.
Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Contraindications
Known sensitivity to dihydropyridines.
Special Precautions
Impaired liver function. Pregnancy & lactation. Childn. Elderly.
Adverse Reactions
Headache, edema, fatigue, nausea, flushing, dizziness.
