Per g Desonide 0.5 mg, neomycin sulfate 5 mg
Indications/Uses
To relief inflammation of corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses when complicated w/ secondary infection due to neomycin-sensitive microorganisms.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Apply thinly & evenly on the affected area 2-3 times daily.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to aminoglycosides. Skin TB, herpes simplex, varicella.
Special Precautions
Discontinue treatment if irritation occurs. Avoid contact w/ eyes; bandage use; using in extensive area, especially in babies & childn. Prolonged use may cause overgrowth of non-sensitive microorganisms & fungi. May cause deafness in patients w/ damaged skin or perforated eardrum. Patients w/ liver or kidney disorders & hearing disorders. Pregnancy & lactation.
Adverse Reactions
Burn sensation, itching, folliculitis, furunculosis, pustule, telangiectasis. Cross sensitivity w/ another aminoglycoside (prolonged use).
