Indications/Uses
Depression.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Initially 20 mg daily. Max: 80 mg daily in single or divided dosage.
Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Kidney failure (GFR <10 mL/min).
Special Precautions
Discontinue use if angioneurotic edema, urticaria & other allergic reaction occur. Avoid use in patients w/ unstable epilepsy. May cause hypoglycemia in diabetic patients. May impair ability to drive or operate machinery. Lower the dose in renal & hepatic impairment. Pregnancy.
Adverse Reactions
Fatigue, fever, nausea, dry mouth, anorexia, dyspepsia, vomiting, headache, nervousness, insomnia, drowsiness, anxious, tremor, dizziness, pharyngitis, dyspnea, rash.
Drug Interactions
MAOIs, lithium, drugs highly bound to plasma protein.
