Description
Cream white odorless.
Each gram contains: Clotrimazole 10 mg.
Excipients/Inactive Ingredients: Polyoxyl 20 Cetostearyl Ether, Cetostearyl Alcohol, Octyldodecanol, Polysorbate 80, Glyceryl Monostearate, Propylene Glycol, Benzyl Alcohol, and Purified Water.
Action
Pharmacology: Clotrimazole is a broad-spectrum antifungal compound, used for the treatment of dermal infection caused by pathogenic species of dermatophytes, yeast, and Malassezia furfur.
Its mechanism of action is against the cleavage and growth of organisms.
Indications/Uses
FURASAN Cream for topical treatment of candidiasis caused by Candida albicans, pityriasis versicolor caused by Malassezia furfur, tinea pedis, tinea cruris, and tinea corporis caused by Trichophyton rubrum, Trichophyton mentagrophytes, Epidermophyton floccosum, and Microsporum canis. Used for diaper rash.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Apply appropriate amount of FURASAN Cream to the sore skin area 2-3 times a day. Can also be used as a follow-up continued treatment to prevent recurrence of fungal diseases of the skin / skin folds. Positive progression with relief of itching usually occurred within the first week of treatment. If there is no positive progress after 4 weeks then the diagnosis should be repeated.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to Clotrimazole.
Reported specific harm to humans based on conventional studies on pharmacological safety, repeated dose toxicity, genotoxicity, carcinogenic potential, and toxicity for reproduction and development.
Special Precautions
Treatment should be stopped if irritation or sensitivity occurs and replaced with a more appropriate drug.
Not recommended for use in pregnant women during the first trimester and during breastfeeding.
Adverse Reactions
Erythema, stinging, blistering, peeling, edema, pruritus, urticaria, burning, and generally irritation of the skin.
Storage
Store below 30°C.
Use within 3 months after opening.
