Clobetasol propionate
Indications/Uses
Short-term treatment of resistant dermatoses eg, psoriasis, recalcitrant, eczema, lichen planus, lupus erythematosus. which do not respond satisfactory to less active steroids.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Apply sparingly once or twice daily. Max: 50 g/wk.
Contraindications
Rosacea, acne vulgaris, perioral dermatitis, perianal & genital pruritus. Primary infected skin lesions. Dermatoses in childn <1 yr.
Special Precautions
Avoid long-term continuous therapy particularly in infant & childn, treatment of extensive area. Do not apply to eye.
Adverse Reactions
Burning, stinging sensation, local atrophic skin changes.
