Start with Promensil for menopausal symptoms.
Each tablet contains: Trifolium pratense (red clover) extract equivalent to dry herb 2.5 g, standardised to contain 40 mg isoflavones.
May help relieve hot flushes and night sweats.
Take one to two tablets daily with food.
To relieve daytime symptoms, take Promensil with breakfast.
If night time symptoms are worse, take Promensil with evening meal.
Individual responses vary, women experiencing a reduction in symptoms will usually notice this within 3-8 weeks of daily use.
If symptoms persist, consult the healthcare professional.
If the patient is currently taking any form of Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT), any prescription or over-the-counter medicine advise the health care professional who can inform the patient about the benefits and risks/side effects of all treatment options.
Use in Pregnancy & Lactation: Promensil is not recommended for use during pregnancy or lactation.
Use in Children: Promensil is not recommended for children.

Antibiotics may reduce the flora in the gut and limit the uptake of Promensil.
Eating yogurt may help to re-establish gut's absorption ability.
Absorption of Promensil may also be reduced if taking H2 antagonists or proton pump inhibitors.
Manage menopause symptoms in 3 steps: Step 1. Adjust patient's lifestyle: Limit use of coffee and alcohol; Avoid spicy foods; Eat isoflavone rich foods (eg, lentils); Wear cotton clothing, in layers; Exercise daily; Relax daily.
Step 2. Use Promensil. It contains 40 mg of isoflavones, and may help relieve hot flushes and night sweats.
For use both during and beyond menopause.
Step 3. In case steps 1 or 2 do not give the patient sufficient relief: Ask the doctor for information about other options to treat the symptoms.
