Dexketoprofen trometamol
Indications/Uses
Mild to moderate pain intensity eg, musculoskeletal acute pain, dysmenorrhea, toothache; acute pain intensity eg, post-op pain.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Tab 12.5 mg 4-6 hrly, or 25 mg 6-8 hrly. Max: 75 mg daily. Elderly, mild to moderate hepatic disorder, mild kidney disorder Max: 50 mg daily. IM/IV 50 mg 8-12 hrly. Max: 150 mg daily. Elderly, mild to moderate hepatic disorder, mild kidney disorder Max: 50 mg daily.
Administration
Should be taken on an empty stomach: Take 30 min before meals, especially for quick relief of acute pain.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to dexketoprofen trometamol or other NSAIDs. NSAID-induced asthma. Peptic ulcer/gastric bleeding. Hemorrhagic disorder. Severe heart failure. Kidney disorder. Severe hepatic disorder. Pregnancy & lactation.
Adverse Reactions
HTN, tachycardia, dyspepsia, peptic ulcer, gastritis, headache, skin rash, pruritus. Nausea, vomiting, GI bleeding, anaphylaxis.
