Indications/Uses
Dosage/Direction for Use
Intestinal or esophageal candidiasis Adult 500,000 IU to 1 MIU (5-10 mL) tid-qid. Childn ≥100,000 IU (1 mL) qid. Oral lesions 100,000 IU (1 mL) qid. Infant born to mother w/ vag candidiasis 100,000 IU (1 mL) daily.
Administration
Should be taken on an empty stomach: Retain susp in the mouth for as long as possible before swallowing. Do not take food/drink at least 1 hr after a dose.
Adverse Reactions
Diarrhea, GI distress, nausea & vomiting. Oral irritation & sensitization, rashes, urticaria & rarely, Stevens-Johnson syndrome.
