Indications/Uses
Topical treatment of impetigo due to susceptible isolates of Staph aureus & Strep pyogenes.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult (including elderly/hepatically impaired) & childn Apply to affected area bid-tid for up to 10 days, depending on the response.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Not suitable for ophth or intranasal use.
Special Precautions
Discontinue treatment if possible sensitisation reaction or severe local irritation occur; & prolonged or significant diarrhea occurs or patient experiences abdominal cramps. Overgrowth of non-susceptible organisms in prolonged use. Not suitable for use in conjunction w/ cannulae & at the site of central venous cannulation. Avoid contact w/ eyes. Renal impairment. Lactation.
Adverse Reactions
Burning localised to the area of application.
