Each capsule contains ascorbic acid 500 mg, zinc (equivalent to 27.50 mg zinc sulfate monohydrate) 10 mg.
This product contains Ascorbic Acid which is used to prevent or treat low levels of vitamin C in people who do not get enough of the vitamin from their diets and Zinc (equivalent to Zinc Sulfate Monohydrate).
The active substance (the ingredient that makes the capsule work) is 500 mg of Ascorbic Acid and 10 mg of Zinc equivalent to 27.50 mg of Zinc Sulfate Monohydrate.
Vitamin C is used to treat and prevent vitamin C deficiency. It is also used to decrease severity of colds and as a dietary supplement.
Vitamin C involves in formation of collagen the most important protein to form bones, teeth, cartilage and skin.
Zinc helps boost the immune system and wound healing.
Adults and Children 12 years and older: Take capsule once a day, or, as recommended by a doctor.
If the patient missed a dose, just take the next dose and the subsequent doses at the usual recommended schedule e.g. once a day.
Do not double the dose.
Not recommended for children under 6 years of age.
Follow all directions given to you by your doctor and pharmacist carefully.
Missed dose: Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose. If the patient forget to take a dose, take it as soon as remembered and then take the next dose at the right time.

Do not use more than the prescribed dose. Overdose symptoms may include
acidosis or haemolytic anaemia in certain individuals with a deficiency of glucose 6-phosphate dehydrogenase. Renal failure can occur with massive
Ascorbic Acid overdosage.
If the patient has taken too many capsules contact the nearest hospital casualty department or tell your doctor IMMEDIATELY. Take the carton
and the leaflet. If patient have taken too many Ascorbic Acid + Zinc capsule, it is likely that patient will get an upset
stomach (stomach disturbances).
Reporting of Overdosage: If patient accidentally take too many tablets at the same time, contact the nearest hospital casualty department or the doctor immediately. Show any leftover medicines or the empty packet to the doctor.
Reporting of Side Effects: If the patient get any side effect, talk to the doctor or pharmacist. This includes any possible side effects not listed in leaflet.
Hypersensitivity to CIVAZ Capsule is a contraindication. In addition, CIVAZ should not be used if you have the following conditions: Allergic to or any ingredient.
Ascorbic Acid should be given with care to patient with renal, urinary bladder and gall bladder stones. During pregnancy, this vitamin has been found to be safe when used in recommended doses. Higher doses should be used during pregnancy only if clearly needed. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. This vitamin passes into breast milk and is considered to be safe during breast-feeding when used in recommended doses. Consult your doctor for more information.
Like all medicines, the medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. A few people can be allergic to some medicines:
Contact the doctor or go to the nearest hospital casualty department IMMEDIATELY if any of the following happen after taking the medicine:
Wheezing, difficulty breathing or swallowing, dizziness; Swelling of the eyelids, face, lips, tongue or throat; Itchy skin rash affecting the whole body; Blistering or bleeding of the skin, including around your lips, eyes, mouth, nose and genital. Patient may also have flu-like symptoms and fever. This may be something called Stevens-Johnson syndrome.
Tell the doctor if experienced any of the following: Rare (may affect 1 in 1,000 people); Skin rashes; Bleeding from the stomach or intestine (which may be seen as black, tar-like stools). Not known (frequency cannot be estimated from the available data); Being sick.
Reporting of side effects: If patient get any side effects, talk to the doctor, pharmacist or nurse. This includes any possible side effects not listed in this leaflet.
Tell the doctor or pharmacist if patient is taking, have recently taken,
or might take any other medicines such as: Ferrous gluconate, Ferrous sulfate, Warfarin, Birth control pills that contain some form of estradiol, ethinyl estradiol, or mestranol.
Tell the doctor or pharmacist if the patient is taking Vitamin C for a long time. The patient may need to stop taking it slowly as Ascorbic Acid may
alter the kidney function, and if the patient is taking antacids for indigestion remedies which contain aluminum.
Aspirin can interfere with the absorption of Ascorbic Acid.
Patient should not take vitamin C if receiving intravenous infusions of deferoxamine, it is used to treat excessive absorption and storage of iron
and other and some abnormalities
Store at temperatures not exceeding 30°C. Do not store in direct sunlight
or heat. Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children. Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the label/carton/bottle. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
