Resistant maltodextrin.
Description
Each sachet contains: Resistant maltodextrin 6 g.
Resistant Maltodextrin is a non-viscous water soluble dietary fiber. It is produced from cornstarch by a proprietary process to purposely convert it into a form that is resistant to digestion and absorption in the upper gastrointestinal tract. The content of each sachet provides a high source of fiber.
Resistant Maltodextrin is a white to off-white, odorless, free-flowing powder that is available wintermelon tea.
Excipients/Inactive Ingredients: (wintermelon tea flavor) Resistant Maltodextrin, Nature-Identical Flavors, Tea Powdered Extract (natural flavor), Malic Acid (acidity regulator), Sucralose (sweetener), Sodium Chloride (flavor enhancer), Tribasic Calcium Phosphate (anticaking agent).
Indications/Uses
As an adjunct to diet and exercise, fiber from Resistant Maltodextrin can help reduce the glycemic response to carbohydrate foods.
Resistant Maltodextrin also helps maintain healthy intestinal regularity.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Dissolve 1 sachet in a glass of water or beverage. Not recommended for carbonated beverages.
Administration: Take with each meal.
Overdosage
If the patient have taken much more than the recommended amount, consult a doctor.
Signs/Symptoms: The possibility of severe gastrointestinal disturbance and laxation exists at high levels, as with any fiber source. For Resistant Maltodextrin, this is at levels substantially above those which are typically consumed.
Contraindications
If the patient is allergic to any component of the product.

ONCE OPENED, CONSUME CONTENTS IMMEDIATELY.
Do not use more than the recommended amount unless prescribed by a doctor.
Do not use after the expiry date on the label.
Not to be used as a sole source of nutrition.

Adverse Reactions
None expected with the amount present in the product. Resistant Maltodextrin is recognized as GRAS (Generally Recognized as Safe), with no specified limitation for its daily intake. It is well tolerated in the digestive system and has a very high laxation threshold above 70 grams per day. No adverse gastrointestinal symptoms are expected at levels up to 60 g/day in diabetic adults and 30 g/day in healthy adults (healthy adults were not subjected to a regimen of 60 g/day in any of the toleration studies). It is non-allergenic.
