Indications/Uses
Peripheral neuropathies, megaloblastic anemia & other manifestations of vit B12 deficiency.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Cap 1 cap tid. Inj 1 amp (equiv to 500 mcg) IM/IV 3 times a wk.
Contraindications
Special Precautions
Discontinue if no response after several mth.
Adverse Reactions
Symptoms of hypersensitivity; loss of appetite, nausea, diarrhea or other GI upsets. Inj: Pain, induration & headache.
Drug Interactions
May reduce absorption w/ neomycin, aminosalicylic acid, histamine H2-antagonists, omeprazole & colchicine. May decrease serum conc w/ OCs. May attenuate effect in anemia w/ parenteral chloramphenicol.
