Adverse reactions reported by 1% to 5% of patients: Decreased libido or anorgasmia, backache, vaginitis, pelvic pain, breast pain, leg cramps, depression, nausea, insomnia, leucorrhoea, acne, absent hair growth, swelling, rash, edema, hot flushes, arthralgia.
Adverse reactions reported by fewer than 1% of patients included: Anaphylaxis, thrombosis, thrombophlebitis, galactorrhea, melasma, chloasma, convulsion, gastrointestinal disturbances, jaundice, genitourinary infections, vaginal cysts, cervical cancer, pulmonary embolus, allergic reactions, anemia, syncope, dyspnea, asthma, tachycardia, fever, chills, dry skin, breast cancer, rectal bleeding, paralysis, osteoporosis, dysmenorrhea, breast tenderness, hyperpyrexia, moon face.
Adverse local effects at the site of injection include residual lump and skin discoloration. (See table.)
