Description
Each mL contains: Sodium hyaluronate 1 mg.
Action
Ophthalmic lubricant.
Indications/Uses
For the treatment of keratoconjunctival epithelial injury associated with the following diseases or causes: endogenous diseases such as Sjogren's syndrome, Steven-Johnson's syndrome, dry eye syndrome and other diseases; exogenous diseases caused by surgery, drugs, trauma, contact lens wearing and other causes.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Instill 1 drop 5-6 times daily.
Special Precautions
Contains benzalkonium chloride which may cause cytotoxic effect or may be absorbed by soft contact lenses. Close monitoring on frequent or prolonged use in patients w/ dry eyes or corneal disease. Wait at least 10 min prior to reinsertion of contact lenses.
Adverse Reactions
There have been reports of a transient rise in intra-ocular pressure when sodium hyaluronate was given into the eye. There have also been occasional reports of hypersensitivity, including, rarely, anaphylaxis.
Storage
Store at temperatures not exceeding 30°C.
