Evogliptin
Indications/Uses
Adjunct to diet & exercise to improve glycemic control in patients w/ type 2 DM as monotherapy & combination therapy.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult 5 mg once daily as monotherapy or combination therapy. Max daily dose: 5 mg.
Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity (eg, anaphylaxis or angioedema) to evogliptin or other dipeptidyl peptidase 4 inhibitors (DPP-4). Patients w/ type I diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis.
Special Precautions
May cause hypoglycemia w/ insulin secretagogues (eg, insulin or sulfonylurea). Severe & disabling joint pain. Bullous pemphigoid. Not recommended during pregnancy & lactation.
Adverse Reactions
Nasopharyngitis, dyspepsia, hypoglycemia. Monotherapy: Gastritis, periodontitis, erectile dysfunction, arthralgia. Combination therapy: Diarrhea, pruritus.
Drug Interactions
Increased Cmax w/ clarithromycin.
