Contents
Per g Isoconazole nitrate 10 mg, diflucortolone valerate 1 mg
Indications/Uses
Initial or interim treatment of those superficial fungal infections of the skin which are accompanied by highly inflammatory or eczematous skin conditions eg, in the region of the hands, the interdigital spaces of the feet, & in the inguinal & genital regions.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Apply bid to the diseased areas of skin. Terminate treatment after regression of inflammatory or eczematous skin condition, at the latest, after 2 wk, & then continue treatment or follow-up w/ a glucocorticoid-free anti-fungal prep.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Tuberculous or syphilitic processes in the treated area, virus diseases (eg, varicella, herpes zoster), rosacea, perioral dermatitis & postvaccination skin reactions in the treated area.
Special Precautions
Do not allow to come into contact w/ eyes when applying to the face. May increase risk of systemic side effects w/ extensive application to large areas of the body or for prolonged periods of time particularly under occlusion. Glaucoma may develop. May impair effectiveness when applied to the genital regions since the excipients liqd paraffin & soft paraffin may cause damage of latex products for barrier methods eg, condoms & diaphragms. Avoid use during the 1st trimester of pregnancy. Avoid applying to the breast during lactation. Childn <2 yr.

Application site irritation & burning.
