Indications/Uses
Acute exacerbations of chronic bronchitis in adults.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Elderly & adult >18 yr 300 mg bid for max 10 days.
Administration
May be taken with or without food: Swallow whole w/ a glass of water.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Patients w/ CrCl <25 mL/min or w/ severe liver failure; active peptic ulcer.
Special Precautions
Do not exceed a dose of 300 mg/day in patients w/ mild liver failure. May influence the ability to drive & use machines. Pregnancy & lactation.
Adverse Reactions
Epigastric pain. Headache; cold, dyspnoea; taste alterations, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea; angioedema & cutaneous hypersensitivity reactions eg, urticaria, erythema, oedema & eczema.
