Each mL of eye drops also contains the following excipients: Disodium edetate, sorbitol, water for injections.
Prophylaxis and treatment of allergic conditions of the eye including, acute and chronic conjunctivitis, hay fever conjunctivitis, vernal keratoconjunctivitis.
The following applies unless the physician has instructed the patient to use Allergo-COMOD eye drops differently.
Adults and Children: 1 drop in each eye 4 times daily.
Treatment Duration: Even after the condition has improved, the patient should continue using Allergo-COMOD eye drops for as long as they are exposed to the substances that cause patient's allergy (house dust, fungus spores, pollen etc).
Ask the physician to confirm if the patient needs to continue treatment over a longer period.
Hypersensitivity to sodium cromoglicate or to any of the excipients of Allergo-COMOD.
Temporary vision impairment will be notice immediately after use.
Ask an ophthalmologist if the patient with inflammation, including allergic conjunctivitis can continue wearing contact lenses. If the ophthalmologist allows the patient to wear contact lenses, the following should take into consideration: Remove the contact lenses before administering the drops and do not replace it for at least 15 min.
Use in pregnancy & lactation: In humans, there has been no evidence of any harmful effect on the embryo, however, the experience available does not allow a definitive appraisal of this risk.

For safety reasons, Allergo-COMOD eye drops should therefore not be used during 1st trimester (first 3 months) of pregnancy, or should only be done so after the risks and benefits have been carefully weighed up. Also, in later stages of pregnancy, and when breastfeeding, Allergo-COMOD eye drops should only be used after careful consideration of the risks/benefits balance by the treating physician.

Rarely, the patient may experience burning, the feeling that there is something in the eye, swelling of the conjunctiva (chemosis) and increased blood flow through the conjunctiva (conjunctival hyperaemia). Generally, these complaints will resolve spontaneously. If the complaint is severe, especially if the patient is hypersensitive to Allergo-COMOD eye drops, consult a physician.
Instructions for Use and Handling: Remove the protective cap before use. Before using Allergo-COMOD eye drops for the 1st time, hold the bottle with the dropper tip pointing downwards and press the base of the bottle until the 1st drop comes out of the end of the dropper. The bottle is then ready for subsequent uses. Hold the bottle with the dropper tip pointing downwards, and press without interruption down to the stop on the base of the bottle. This activates the mechanism for dispensing 1 drop. In the special COMOD value system, the size and speed of each drop is always the same, regardless of the pressure exerted on the base of the bottle. Tilt the patient's head slightly back, hold the lower eyelid slightly away from the eye and put 1 drop into the lower conjunctival sac. Close the eye slowly. After use, carefully close the bottle again. Essentially, the patient should use the eye drops to avoid contact between the dropper tip and the eye of the skin.
Store below 25°C.
Shelf-Life: 12 weeks after opening.
