Amino acid supply in hypoproteinemia, malnutrition & pre- &/or post-op condition.
Adult Central vein infusion: 400-800 mL daily. Peripheral vein infusion: 200-400 mL/dose. Infusion rate: 100 mL over 60 min (25 drops/min).
Patients w/ or risk of hepatic coma, severely impaired renal function or risk of hypernatremia, abnormal amino acid metabolism.
Slowly administer the infusion. Patients w/ severe acidosis, CHF, hyponatremia. Immature infants, newborns, infants.
Hypersensitivity; chest discomfort, palpitation; nausea, vomiting; increased GOT, GPT & total bilirubin; increased BUN; acidosis (large dose); chills, fever, hot flush, headache, vascular pain.
