Celvista is indicated for the reduction in risk of invasive breast cancer in postmenopausal women at high risk of breast cancer.
The incidence of vertebral fractures is significantly reduced. Although the reduction in the incidence of non-vertebral fractures is not significant, the risk of a non-vertebral fracture decreases with increasing exposure to CELVISTA.
When determining the choice of CELVISTA or other therapies, including estrogens, for an individual postmenopausal woman, consideration should be given to menopausal symptoms, effects on uterine and breast tissues, and cardiovascular risks and benefits (see Pharmacology: Pharmacodynamics under Actions).
