CHLORPYRIMINE INJECTION contains Chlorpheniramine maleate at a strength of 10 mg in each 1 ml, packed in 1 ml ampoules.
CHLORPYRIMINE TABLETS are yellow tablets, each with 4 mg of ChlorÂpheniramine maleate.
CHLORPYRIMINE is an anti-histaminic.
As Chlorpyrimine can block the manifestation of histamine activity. It is indicated for allergic reactions, including allergic eczema, asthma, hay fever, urticaria, vasomotor rhinitis, angio-neurotic oedema, serum sickness, drug reactions, atopic dermatitis, contact dermatitis, neurodermatitis and insect bites.
CHLORPYRIMINE INJECTION may be administered by subcutaneous, intramuscular or intravenous injection (drip slowly) at a dosage of 10 to 50 mg.
CHLORPYRIMINE TABLETS are primarily intended for adults, for whom the dose is ½ to 1 tablet every 4-6 hours.
