Erectile dysfunction Adult men 10-20 mg at least 30 min prior to sexual activity. Max dosing frequency is once daily. Responder patients to on-demand regimen (at least twice wkly use) 5 mg once a day at approx the same time of day; may be decreased to 2.5 mg once a day. Severe renal impairment Max: 10 mg. Benign prostatic hyperplasia 5 mg once a day at approx the same time of day.

Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Concomitant use w/ any form of organic nitrate. Men w/ cardiac disease for whom sexual activity is inadvisable. MI w/in the last 90 days, unstable angina or angina occurring during sexual intercourse, NYHA class 2 or greater heart failure in the last 6 mth, uncontrolled arrhythmias, hypotension (<90/50 mmHg), uncontrolled HTN, stroke w/in the last 6 mth. Loss of vision in 1 eye because of non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy.
