COTREN is effective against a wide variety of fungi, yeasts, dermatophytes, some strain of microorganisms.
COTREN is employed in the treatment of: dermatomycoses due to yeasts (Candida spp.); dermatomycoses due to moulds and other fungi; dermatomycoses due to dermatophytes such as interdigital mycoses (eg. athlete's foot), tinea and pityriasis versicolor.
APPLICATIONS: Apply to the affected area 2-3 times daily and rubbed in. The treatment should be continued for about 2 weeks beyond the disappearance of all signs of disease. Cotren powder absorbs moisture in weeping mycoses of the skin and skin folds, particularly in tinea pedis (athlete's foot). Cotren powder may be used in conjunction with cotren cream or cotren solution and used to prevent re-infection.
