Indications/Uses
Atopic dermatitis (eczema). Short-term treatment & long-term management of signs & symptoms of atopic dermatitis (eczema) in infants (3-23 mth), childn (2-11 yr), adolescents (12-17 yr) & adults.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Apply thin layer to the affected skin bid.
Contraindications
Special Precautions
Malignancy. Not to be applied to potentially malignant or pre-malignant skin lesions; areas affected by acute cutaneous viral infections. Dermatological bacterial or fungal infections. Not recommended in patients w/ Netherton's syndrome or severely inflamed or damaged skin eg, erythroderma; immunocompromised patients. Monitor patients who develop lymphadenopathy. Discontinue in the presence of acute infectious mononucleosis. Minimize or avoid natural or artificial sunlight exposure. May cause mild & transient reactions at the site application. Avoid contact w/ eyes & mucous membranes. Pregnancy & lactation. Application to vaccination sites are not recommended.
Adverse Reactions
Application site burning. Application site reactions (eg, irritation, pruritus & erythema), skin infections (folliculitis).
