Teratology studies performed in rats and rabbits have revealed no evidence of impaired fertility or harm to the fetus. There are, however, no adequate and well controlled studies in pregnant women. Iron sucrose Injection should be used during pregnancy only if clearly needed. Because many drugs are excreted in human milk, caution should be exercised when Iron sucrose Injection is administered to a nursing woman.
