Description
Each film coated tablet contains Fexofenadine hydrochloride 60 mg.
Indications/Uses
Fexotine is an antihistamine for the relief of symptoms associated with allergic rhinitis include sneezing, rhinorrhea, itchy nose palate/throat/eyes, watery/red eyes and chronic idiopathic urticaria in adults and children 6 months of age and older.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adults and children 12 years and older: Oral, 1 tablet twice daily.
Children 6 to 11 years: Oral, 1/2 tablet twice daily.
In patients with decreased renal function, the starting dose: Adults and children 12 years and older: Oral, 1 tablet once daily.
Children 6 to 11 years: Oral, 1/2 tablet once daily.
Contraindications
In patients with known hypersensitivity to Fexofenadine HCl.
Warnings
Fexotine should be administered to pregnant women, nursing women and children under 6 months with caution.
Stop using Fexotine and consult physicians when cardiac arrhythmia occur.
Caution should be exercised when Fexotine is administered to the patients with renal impairment.
Co-administration of Fexotine with Macrolides group eg, Erythromycin or Imidazole group eg, Ketoconazole led to increased plasma levels of fexofenadine hydrochloride.
Special Precautions
Effects on the Ability to Drive or Operate Machinery: In some patients, Fexotine has effects on the ability to drive or operate machinery. Patients should be tested for drowsiness before operating machinery.
Use in Pregnancy: There are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women.
Fexofenadine hydrochloride should be used during pregnancy only if the potential benefit justifies the potential risk to the fetus.
Use in Lactation: There are no adequate and well-controlled studies in women during lactation.
Fexofenadine hydrochloride should not be administered to nursing women.

Adverse Reactions
Drowsiness, viral infection (cold, Flu), nausea, dysmenorrhea, dyspepsia, fatigue, back pain, headache, coughing, otitis media, upper respiratory tract infection.
Drug Interactions
Drug interactions with Erythromycin and Ketoconazole: Co-administration of fexofenadine hydrochloride with Ketoconazole and Erythromycin led to increased plasma levels of fexofenadine hydrochloride.
Drug interactions with Antacids:
Fexotine should not be taken closely in time with aluminium and magnesium containing antacids. Aluminium and magnesium containing antacid decreased fexofenadine hydrochloride AUC and Cmax.
Storage
Store at the temperature below 30°C and protect from light.
