Minoxidil.
Description
Minodil contains Minoxidil 2% or 5%.
Action
Hair growth stimulant.
Indications/Uses
Treatment of Alopecia androgenetica.
Minoxidil produces vasodilation, increased cutaneous blood flow and stimulation of resting hair follicles and stimulation of hair growth.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Apply 1 ml (spray about 10 times) on scalp twice daily or as prescribed by the physician.
Warnings
1. Consult the physician before use.
2. This drug may have effect on Cardiovascular system.
3. Growth hair may fall after discontinue for 2-3 months.
Special Precautions
Use carefully, avoid contact eye. If contact eye wash by eye cleanser or cool water.
Use in the Elderly: Patients over 60 years, should consult the physician before use.
Side Effects
Some patients may have side effect such as itch, reddish, smart or dry scalp.
Storage
Store below 30°C and protect from light.
Patient Counseling Information
Topical product must be used every day at least 4 months. Dosage adjustment is needed when the treatment is satisfied by the physician or pharmacist. Do not discontinue this drug immediately because falling hair may occur.
Should be used following Dosage and Administration in the leaflet or by the physician. Should not overdose because adverse reactions may occur.
