Filgrastim (recombinant-methionyl human granulocyte-colony stimulating factor) is produced by r-DNA technology in E.coli (K12).
Excipient with known effect: Each ml of solution contains 0.0015 to 0.0023 mmol or 0.035 to 0.052 mg sodium and 50 mg of sorbitol (E420).
Excipients/Inactive ingredients: Sodium acetate*, sorbitol (E420), polysorbate 80, water for injection.
*Sodium acetate is formed by titrating glacial acetic acid with sodium hydroxide.
