Extractum glycyrrhizine siccum, aluminium sodium silicium, anhydrous sodium sulphate, bismuth subnitrate.
Description
Each tablet contains glycyrrhizine siccum extract 400 mg, aluminum sodium silicium 280 mg, anhydrous sodium sulphate 150 mg, bismuth subnitrate 150 mg.
Action
Ulgastrin leads to relief from subjective complaints eg, decrease sensation of pressure and fullness. Ulgastrin reduce the acid gastric secretion and eliminates disturbances present on account of faulty high acid condition. The results obtained with Ulgastrin can primarily be attributed to the fact that this preparation contains an extract from licorice root, the active ingredients of which effect in combination with the selection of other specific gastroactive substances included in Ulgastrin.
The particular advantage of course of treatment with Ulgastrin lies in possibility of using it as an ambulatory measure, which does not necessitate an interruption of professional activities on the part of the patient, the observance of a strict diet is not required. It is recommended, however, that a definitely bland diet be followed. The physician can furnish directions concerning the bland diet to be observed during the treatment.
Anger and excitement overstrain and unrest shows a deleterious influence on the stomach. If the body is continuously kept in a state of high tension owning to these stress conditions, disturbances of gastric functions may develop which frequently result in the gastric ulcers. It is therefore advisable to take Ulgastrin whenever stomach complaints occur due to the previously mentioned reasons.
Ulgastrin is recommended to pregnant women to control heartburn.
Indications/Uses
Symptomatic relief of gastric and duodenal ulcers, gastrins, heartburn.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Ulcer: 2 tabs after a meal 3 times daily, with a small quantity of fluid. Chew tablets before swallowing.
Special Precautions
Bland diet should be observed during treatment.
Use in pregnancy: Ulgastrin is recommended to pregnant women to control heartburn.

Store below 30°C.
