Treatment of moderate to severe symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Reduction in the risk of acute urinary retention (AUR) & surgery in patients w/ moderate to severe symptoms of BPH.
Adult males (including elderly) 1 cap daily. Although an improvement may be observed at an early stage, it can take up to 6 mth before a response to the treatment can be achieved.
Patients w/ liver disease. Perform digital rectal exam & other evaluations for prostate cancer prior to therapy & periodically thereafter. Evaluate any confirmed increase from lowest prostate-specific antigen (PSA) level or non-compliance to therapy. Report any changes in the breast tissues eg, lumps or nipple discharge (in male patient). Avoid skin contact w/ leaking cap especially in women & childn.
Impotence, decreased libido, ejaculation disorders, breast disorders including breast tenderness & enlargement. Rarely, when in combination w/ tamsulosin, dizziness & cardiac failure.
