Adult & childn >12 yr 2 sprays into each nostril once daily-bd. Max daily dose: 4 sprays into each nostril. Childn 4-11 yr 1 spray into each nostril once daily-bd. Max daily dose: 2 sprays into each nostril.
Systemic effects w/ nasal corticosteroids have been reported, particularly at high doses for prolonged periods. Infections of nasal airways. Reports of clinically significant drug interactions w/ ritonavir. Caution when w/drawing patients from systemic steroid treatment & commencing therapy w/ intranasal fluticasone propionate. Reduced growth velocity has been observed in childn; maintain therapy at lowest dose. Additional therapy during abnormally heavy challenge of summer allergens may be necessary. Pregnancy & lactation.
