Pregnancy: There are no data from the use of Shingrix in pregnant women. Animal studies do not indicate direct or indirect harmful effects with respect to pregnancy, embryonal/foetal development, parturition or post-natal development (see Pharmacology: Toxicology: Preclinical safety data under Actions).
As a precautionary measure, it is preferable to avoid the use of Shingrix during pregnancy.
Breast-feeding: The effect on breast-fed infants of administration of Shingrix to their mothers has not been studied. It is unknown whether Shingrix is excreted in human milk.
Fertility: Animal studies do not indicate direct or indirect effects with respect to fertility in males or females (see Pharmacology: Toxicology: Preclinical safety data under Actions).
