Special Precautions

Not indicated for acute asthma attacks, including status asthmaticus. Avoid aspirin or NSAIDs in patients w/ known aspirin sensitivity. Neuropsychiatric events. Eosinophilia, vasculitic rash, worsening pulmonary symptoms, cardiac complication &/or neuropathy eg, Churg-Strauss syndrome. May affect ability to drive or operate machinery. Pregnancy & lactation. Infant <6 mth.

Upper resp infection, fever, headache, pharyngitis, cough, abdominal pain, diarrhea, otitis media, flu, rhinorrhea, sinusitis, & otitis.

Aspirin & other NSAIDs. Decreased area under the plasma conc-time curve w/ phenobarb & other potent CYP450 enzyme inducers eg, phenytoin & rifampicin.
