Pregnancy: There are no adequate and well-controlled studies of Sertraline HCl in pregnant women; therefore, it should be used during pregnancy if clearly needed.
Nursing Mothers: It is not known whether, and if so in what amount, Sertraline or its metabolites are excreted in human milk. Because many drugs are excreted in human milk caution should be exercised when Sertraline is given to lactating mother.
